American Airlines is teaming up with Shin Soo Choo of the MLB Texas Rangers to provide baseball clinic to small kinds.
Steve Koo, who is the manager for AA’s Asia Pacific Marketing, held a brief news conference Monday, November 12th. Also in attendance was Kevin Cho, AA’s National Account Manager for Asia Pacific region.
According to Koo, the baseball clinic will be held on Saturday, December 8th. The clinic is for kids between the ages of 8 through 12. Application deadline is Friday, November 30th.
In order to be chosen as the participant, applicants must submit a travel picture that has a ‘story.’
The picture, along with a brief description, must be submitted to facebook.com/flychoo via the private message. Description should be about 150 words or so.
AA will select a total of 20 kids to participate in the clinic. Exact time and place of the clinic will be notified individually.
Any questions about the application process should be directed to Paul Shin at 214-422-9689.
Steve Koo, whose son plays baseball for an elite college team, said AA and Choo teamed up to provide kids an opportunity to “follow their dreams.”
“When Chan Ho Park played for the LA Dodgers, my son received an autograph from him. The message in the autograph said ‘Follow Your Dreams.’ My son still has the autograph at his desk” said Koo.
“American Airlines teamed up with Mr. Choo to do just that – to give kids an opportunity to follow their baseball dreams. Mr. Choo will be giving kids very private and individually focused lessons during the clinic” Koo added.
