Selwyn School, an independent school in Argyle, TX serving preschool through grade 12 students, announces the John and Robin Doncaster Merit Scholarship. Named in honor of our founding headmaster and first lady, four full-tuition scholarships are being offered to student applicants from the breadth of diverse communities entering grades 9 through 12. Recipients will be assessed based on the merits of their academic accomplishments and the strength of their essay and interview.
“Selwyn’s decades-long history has clearly shown us that schools truly flourish when students of different backgrounds and perspectives work together to share ideas and solve problems,” said Deborah Hof, Head Of School at Selwyn. “These scholarships will help strengthen not only the children who earn them but the global perspective of the student body as a whole.”
A full description and eligibility requirements for the Doncaster Merit Scholarship students can be found at selwynschool.org under Selwyn Life – News. Interested students must apply to Selwyn School and submit an essay describing how a person they know personally has taught them the value of diversity in our society.
