2019 Dallas Korean Festival will be held on Saturday, November 16th in the H Mart shopping center in Carrollton.
Korean Society of Dallas(KSD), which hosted all three previous events, had announced back in May that it will not host the event this year due to financial and manpower issues.
However, a new Korean-American organization called Korean American Develop Foundation(KADF) contacted KSD and expressed its interest in jointly hosting the festival with KSD.
KSD, through a recent board of directors’ meeting, decided to accept the offer.
KADF and KSD announced Wednesday that the event will be held on Saturday, November 16th.
This year’s festival will have some ‘upgraded’ elements on top of the ‘usual’ Korean performances, foods, activities that have been integral part of the event according to Suk-Chan Yoo, who is former president of KSD and now heads KADF.
K-POP Night, which is considered by many as the highlight of the festival will feather K-POP boy group Snuper and girl group NeonPunch. Also appearing in the K-POP Night will be DJ Flash Finger.
KADF will be announcing more details about this year’s event in the near future.
