2019 Dallas Korean Festival Committee is searching for local talents to perform on the main stage at the 2019 Dallas Korean Festival this fall.
The Committee is holding an open audition, tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 20th at 6:00PM.
In order to be in the audition, you must apply by Tuesday, September 10th. You have to submit a written description and/or video demonstration of what you will be performing to email firstname.lastname@example.org
Any and all performance genres are welcome – K-POP vocal & dance, any instrument playing, country music, multi-cultural performances, etc.
Applicants can be either an individual or a group.
Up until last year, the Festival Committee cast local performers through personal connections. Participants of the World K-POP Festival Dallas Regional Audition were virtually the only local performers who were invited to the event.
However, things are little different this year. In order to be more inclusive of the local talents, the Festival Committee decided to hold an open audition to decide who gets to perform on the main stage.
“As the Korean Festival got bigger and more popular over the years, we wanted to make sure that everyone gets a chance to become part of the festival” said Suk-Chan Yu, who heads the 2019 Dallas Korean Festival Committee.
So, if you think you got some talent and want to be a part of the biggest and the most popular Korean culture festival in Texas, apply for the open audition.
