Greater Dallas Korean American Chamber of Commerce (GDKACC) was Introduced at Richardson Chamber of Commerce’s International Concierge Team Breakfast meeting Thursday, November 21, 2019.

The monthly networking meeting was held at The Drawing Board, a co-working space located at 1900 Jay Ell Dr., Richardson, TX.

In attendance were officials from the Richardson Mayor’s Office of International Business, Richardson Economic Development, Richardson Chamber of Commerce, and members of the International Concierge.

Representing the GDKACC were President H.K. Kim, Senior V.P. Stellar Park, and Executive Advisor Charles Park.

Stella Park, who is the Director of Market Development – Sales Execution & Transformation for AT&T Government Solutions & National Business, introduced GDKACC by giving a presentation on 2019 Smart Business Expo.

The Smart Business Expo was the first ever large scale business expo that GDKACC held in its 40 plus years.

The Smart Business Expo was held on November 2, 2019 at the Westin Galleria Hotel in Dallas. Small to mid-sized companies from South Korea and large American corporations such as AT&T, Verizon, Costco Business Center participated in the event.

Such technologies as 5G, IoT (Internet of Things), digital kiosks and signage were introduced to help improve bottom lines and security of local small businesses. Irving-Las Colinas Chamber co-hosted the event.

Presentation by Stella Park gave the International Concierge Team Breakfast attendees a glimpse of what GDKACC does and what its goals are.

Before Stella Park’s presentation, H.K. Kim expressed his organization’s plans to get more involved with other chambers in North Texas.

“The Smart Business Expo gave us an important lesson. And that is, if we break the boundaries of global business, the benefits of the latest technologies are even greater. And one way for GDKACC to be instrumental in accomplishing this is through stronger networking with other chambers in North Texas” said H.K. Kim.

Stella Park’s presentation was followed by Q&A and networking session before adjourning.

The International Concierge is planning a holiday party on Thursday, December 12 from 5:30PM to 7:00PM at the Hilton Garden Inn. (1001 W. President G.B. Turnpike, Richardson, TX 75080)
