▲ 2018 Korean Festival of Dallas committee held its first meeting Wednesday, June 27th at the Korean Culture Center of Dallas.
Officials from virtually all Korean-American organizations of Dallas gathered Wednesday, June 27th to kick off the preparation committee for the 2018 Korean Festival of Dallas.
This year’s festival is scheduled for Saturday, November 10th in the parking lot behind the Omi Korean BBQ in the Carrollton H Mart shopping center.
While most of the details are still being worked out, the festival committee disclosed some of the main attractions of year’s festival.
The K-POP Night Concert, which is the highlight of the festival, will have K-POP girl group GWSN perform on the main stage.
GWSN is a seven-member K-Pop girl group signed under Kiwi Pop. Their official debut is scheduled to be made in September 2018. The group consists of seven members, who are from South Korea, Japan, and China.
Festival committee hopes that, by the time GWSN performs in Dallas this November, they will be one of the newest marquee names in K-POP.
Also performing at the K-POP Night Concert is hip hop singer KillaGramz.
The festival will also feature Korean food, traditional performances by the local Korean-Americans, K-POP souvenirs, and much more.
Vendors can rent booths for $1,000 or $1,500, plus 10% of the sales revenue. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 or more.
