Explore, Experience & EAT your way through Chinatown on a special Chinatown Foodie Tour! 

 

Sunday, August 19, 2018, 1-4 pm

 

Experience a culinary tour through Chinatown in Richardson and go on an amazing cultural and culinary experience with 24 other people! 

 

Participants will get to make 5 stops - 4 unique restaurants and end at the Good Fortune Supermarket for tips, shopping and a treat! 

 

Participants will meet and start at the Chinese Community Center with a quick introduction from Johnny Lee, a community leader and founder of the Chinatown complex. 

 

From there, start your foodie journey at the popular Jeng Chi for a tasting of three of their famous dumplings, including their soup dumplings and artisan tea. Jeng Chi owner will greet you and share the history of dumplings and tell us more about their 3 popular dumplings and tea. 

 

From there, participants will head over to the Chinatown staple Canton Chinese Restaurant where salt & pepper pork and Cantonese-style rice noodles & walnut shrimp await. 

 

Another stop at Royal Sichuan where the owner will greet and serve a tasting of their popular slice beef in fiery sauce and chicken spicy hotpot. 

 

To wrap up the savory journey, the tour will end at Rose House Dessert for a tasting of cold passionfruit teas. Take your teas over to Good Fortune grocery store for a shopping adventure of tips, specials and a treat to go home with! 

 

The cost is $59 per person, which includes food tastings at each stop, tour guide and a small treat to remember your culinary adventure!
