Job Description

Assist customers with deposits and withdrawals from commercial and personal accounts. Teller window services (processing deposits, check cashing, issue official checks and money orders, cash advances).

A teller’s primary duties include assisting customers with deposits and withdrawals from commercial and personal accounts and teller window services (processing deposits, check cashing, money orders, etc.). As tellers have the most face-to-face contact with bank clientele, their professional demeanor and manner are important aspects of building customer trust and loyalty. Tellers are also the frontline of preventing various frauds involving money (e.g. embezzlement) and following security procedures as mandated by federal and state law.

Act as an ambassador of the bank - smile and greet customers, and provide basic teller services. Build customer loyalty through courtesy and friendliness. Ensure accurate and timely processing of basic transactions for banking center customers and balance daily work in accordance with established policies and procedures. Perform transactions in a professional manner to build customer confidence and trust. Resolve basic service issues or refer to appropriate associate to guarantee customer satisfaction and retention. Promote consumer services and products, via customer education and cross-sell referrals. Follow fraud prevention and security procedures. Assist other associates as needed.

Job Description
First IC Bank Customer Service Representatives are responsible for providing a positive customer experience that leads to improved satisfaction and sales. CSR's process transactions accurately and efficiently while simultaneously introducing products and services that meet the customers’ needs and encouraging customers to expand their relationship with First IC Bank.

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following;

-Create a connection and develop rapport with customers to provide outstanding, personalized service,

-Listen carefully and connect with customers to understand their top financial priorities and to uncover products and solutions that will benefit them,

-Ensure customers/clients are quickly connected to the appropriate teammate with the expertise to meet their needs,

-Build, develop and maintain partnerships with teammates and specialists to maximize effectiveness and serve customers,

-Assist customers with inquiries and/or problem resolution in a professional and composed manner, and escalate to manager as appropriate,

-Follow established policies, procedures and guidelines to protect both our customers and First IC Bank

Required skills:

Proven results in exceeding goals in areas of sales and service in a customer-centric, results-driven environment

Minimum of six months customer service experience in financial services

Ability to identify customer financial needs, goals and objectives; comfortable asking customers about their personal finances

Ability to sell customers on meeting with a sales associate to learn about products/services

Ability to respond and assist customers with inquiries and/or problem resolution

Ability to work effectively as a team member

Strong communication skills (including verbal and non-verbal) and active listening skills

Careful attention to detail and time management

Branch Assistant Manager



The assistant bank branch manager/operations manager supports the branch manager by overseeing the efficient operation of the branch to ensure all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff while conveying a feeling of trust, service, security and satisfaction to customer and staff. The duties of the assistant bank branch manager are contingent on the scope of the services that are offered at the facility. The position is responsible for overseeing the teller function, ATM balancing, night depository processing, Brinks processing and customer service duties. The assistant bank branch manager must have a familiarity with IRA services and personal banking products and services. Although not primarily responsible for account opening administration, the assistant bank branch manager will be available to assist the personal bankers during peak periods.

Essential Functions

Ensures the branch and vaults are opened and closed on a timely basis.

Enforces dual control procedures at all times.

Facilitates teller buys and sells to the vault.

Balances vaults, coin machines, taxes, FICA, etc.

Audits teller drawers.

Maintains monthly branch efficiency logs.

Assists new tellers with training.

Oversees teller duties and assists line with customer transactions during peak periods.

Keeps staff informed of pertinent changes in operational policy and procedures.

Prepares teller performance appraisals and disciplinary notices as required.

Schedules tellers for adequate coverage at all times.

Performs pre-audits to ensure ongoing adherence with compliance procedures.

Maintains and tests alarms and other security devices.

Keeps educated on all deposit, business and consumer loan products.

Maintains adequate supplies at the facility.

Balances and troubleshoots ATM/debit card concerns.

Maintains proper teller and vault cash levels, including ordering coin and currency.

Reports facility/building concerns to maintenance.

Ensures excellent customer service skills are practiced by all the teller staff members.

Meets with staff regarding branch security and safety issues.

Facilitates meetings to disseminate operational information.

Five years banking experience.

Prior assistant branch managerial experience.
